The Knitting Factory was truly buzzing last Thursday night. With the help of The Guerrilla Gardeners and a crowd full of rampant supporters, we threw a party that was saw contestants performing piano solos, dance offs and proving that the spirit of Kurt Cobain is alive and well. We even learned some new words... Turns out 'shittah' is not just they way people from Boston say 'bathroom.'
Thanks to Andy Frasco and the UN, who had us jamming until we couldn't jam anymore, and Kyle Ayers and Will Miles who made us laugh while they judged our intelligence. Garrett Neff took home the trophy and year's subscription to MashBox, but the real winners of the night were the kids at PS 15. We're gathering our funds to create a very special urban gardening experience for them.
I know I speak for Team We Bee and The Guerrilla Gardeners when I say, I can't wait to get my hands dirty!
We'll keep you posted on all the happenings at PS 15. If you are interested in helping out, please shoot a note to us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
